In the practice of naked yoga, I come back to the physical body and the practice of yoga both as my entry point into my own personal transformation and the collective transformation I saw it bring to others. Deeply transformed by my own experience in the naked yoga practice, I spent years teaching classes and later interviewing those who found their way to naked yoga classes who had interesting stories of how they arrived there and what they hoped to get out of the practice.  I became fascinated with the stories of peoples bodies, particularly those who practiced and celebrated a form of conscious nudity as a holistic form of self-expression.

I noticed overtime the naked yoga movement expand beyond New York City to various cities big and small. I watched as this unique momentum of naked yoga created its own subculture. I sought to find out why those who were practicing naked yoga and were teaching naked yoga were inspired to do so and what it offered their own personal transformation. This website is a collection of interviews, stories and resources about naked yoga. If you would like to add your voice, story or resource, please email me.

If you have a unique story to tell about your experience with naked yoga please write it up and send it in. Stories with pictures are encouraged.  If you would like your naked yoga class listed on this website please send me the details. Email me at sensualshaman@gmail.com

Hi, I really enjoy your blog. I would like to link to it from mine and put one of your pictures in a post about doing yoga nude- the angle for the post is that you can see muscle movement and posture easier without clothes. Hope that is okay.
